I have loved Terry Brooks forever it seems. I will always love his writings. The Shannara series was, is and always will be my favorite reads. This time around is my third time purchasing them, (all of them) and about my 20th time reading them.

It's an omniscient third-person narrator, and while this novel was published in the 90s, it is well written. It may not suit modern audiences as much because there's a lot of description, but I loved it!
It'sa great story, fantastic way to spend time!

Massively engrossed in Terry Brooks work. His writing allows me to completely focus on the book and blocks distractions out. Exactly as great writing should.
This book is part two in a series of three books written by Terry Brooks. Based in the world of Shannara that the first series, Sword of Shannara created, this trio of books is just as interesting. It concerns the rise of evil in the world again and focuses on the descendants of the first group of characters, all that is left of the family able to weild the spellsong. It is set about 300 years later. I have the first and second books, and am ordering the third tonight. Hope it comes quickly!
Another excellent book by Terry Brooks. Every book seems to get better and better. I recommend this series and its author.
Love all of his books in this series. However, when I went to read the book I had downloaded to my Fire, it wouldn't let me, saying I hadn't purchased it. I double checked and I had, so I went to manage my books and made sure again. Still couldn't bring it up to read. So I purchased it again--same result. Purchased again (3rd time now) and still could not open it in my Fire. Finally gave up and bought the paperback version.
