I enjoyed the characters & the plot. Brett has to get past his assumptions about Angelica & learn to trust again. Angelica has to get past a childhood trauma. As a single child of divorced parents, then a model, Angelica is used to being alone & lonely so it's hard to trust motives. I love the interactions between the various characters & the way they add to the story. The chemistry between Brett & Angelica is intense & the make out scenes are intense. There is also the buildup in tension regarding Zan & Mac. I can't wait for their book!

Another winner by Christie Ridgway
Great continuation of the series and all the characters.
Not as good as previous ones in series. Now waiting for the one with Mac in the story.
This book was so so good. Angelica and Brett are so good together. Her with her family problems. His with his flawed heart and they come together so beautifully❤️
I just can't seem to get into this story, I'm finding it very slow and dull. I generally enjoy books by Christie Ridgeway. I find myself checking my library for something else to read, but then I come back to try again. Maybe if the story focused on one story-line between Angelica and Brett, nah, still boring.
Brett and Angelica's story was a fun read. I liked finding out more about Brett's past which explains his personality. Angelica is an inspiring character. Despite all the obstacles she is facing in her life due to her father's actions, she remains optimistic about her future. This makes for a great heroine and a fun story. I enjoyed the two leads coming together even though they both had such opposing views of life. I liked learning more about his remaining sister since Mac played a bigger role in this story. I'm really looking forward to her story!
I can't believe that this book was in my TBR folder for 2 years. Anyway, I struggled to get through it. The H is very wary of relationships and doesn't want one with the h, even though they have chemistry. The h is a former socialite, who loses everything when her father is charged with fraud. The h takes all sorts of menial jobs to try and support herself. It got old really quickly with the H blowing hot and cold all the way to the final chapter.
